Personal Portfolio Website write-up

Mission/vision statement: My mission is too build a site that clearly presents my portfolio, work info, skills/services, and contact info to future possible clients and employers. I see this site as being easy to navigate, informative, not overwhelming to the user, and one that does not distract from its content.

Content List:
  • My name: who I am, what I do, and my statement of intent
  • Info (a short bio, past work and experience, achievements, studio info, style)
  • A list of skills/services
  • Portfolio (A selection of animated pieces, demo reel, concept art, character design)
  • Contact information (name, work phone, e-mail address)
User base: Possible clients and employers

"Design your own Website"

My website would be a portfolio website, one that I can show clients. It would have a main page basically showing what I do with a branding on the header. In my navigation bar I would have links to the home page, a bio, a page for videos and reels, a page of concept, pre-production art, and stills, a page about what I can do, and a contact info page. I would like to have my cartoon characters and my culture incorporated in the graphic design of the site. I imagine that building the navigation of the website would be similar to making a menu for a DVD. I’m sure there is way more to the process than I think.

p.s. I've ordered my text book for class and it's on its way!!!

I made a Google account. My new e-mail is kimbroadbridge@gmail.com

I found lots of helpful information on the syllabus. I'm glad that I looked at it.
